Films have always been my life. As a young kid I ruined many a VHS camcorder making my own news shows and creating Star Wars sequels in my backyard. Years later, I'm getting away with the same things - only now I can call it my career.

My interest in sound came from a combination of my other interests. As a self-proclaimed nerd, I love the technical side of things. Framerates, codecs, pulldowns - the things that most people loathe are the parts I like to figure out. On the other side, I've always learned the latest tools so I can use them to create art. Sound Design is the perfect marriage of both, requiring an precise technical knowledge and training but also a creative touch to make unique and immersive soundtracks.

The most unique part about this industry to me is the collaboration. Every project takes so much time and effort from so many different kinds of people, each using their own talents and creativity to make a collective vision a reality. So whether I'm on set deciding between a 416 or the Schoeps, or in the studio perfecting the final mix on the D-Command, I'm just happy to be a part of a good production and a creative team.
